Uffculme School Trust - Making a difference for Uffculme School pupils.
The Uffculme School Trust is a charity that was set up in 1986 with the generous support of Mr A.E Wood to help students at Uffculme School to achieve their academic potential and to develop them as rounded members of the community. The Trust aims to ensure that all students, whatever their background, have the same opportunity to participate in the wide range of curricular and extra curricular activities the School runs.
Examples of the support given in recent years are;
- Assisting musically able students with private music lessons
- Supporting students to enable them to participate in Activities Week
- Ensuring that there are accessible drinking fountains around the School
- Provision of bursaries to ensure students have the equipment needed to participate in the Ten Tors challenge
The Trust is funded mainly by donations which enable us to enhance the learning environment, provide additional facilities and give assistance for enrichment activities. In addition, students hold an annual STEW week (School Trust Event Week) where each year group is encouraged to organise fundraising events.
The Trust also benefits from the running of the School Lotto (replacing the old 100 Club); a monthly draw which gives you the chance to win cash prizes whilst also supporting the School. For more information on the new School Lotto, please click here.
